About Shrewsbury, MA
Shrewsbury is located in Central Massachusetts, 39 miles west of Boston along Route 9 in Worcester County. It is an unusual New England town in that Shrewsbury was neither a mill town nor a farming village; it grew as a suburb of Worcester. The town is residential with a healthy retail and other commercial development mix. Today, much of the economy supplies services such as recreation and food to the population of Worcester. The town has a strong school system, and the newly renovated Shrewsbury High School is the local high school.
