About Boylston, MA
Boylston is a small, rural community in Central Massachusetts situated 32 miles west of Boston in Worcester County, off I-290. The town remained an agricultural community until the mid-1950s, and today, Boylston has retained much of its rural character and is a haven for bedroom community for commuters. The Town Common is dominated by a typical New England church and well-kept 18th and 19th-century homes. The Wachusett Reservoir preserves a large area of natural beauty within the town. The town has three Selectmen who oversee town government under an open town meeting structure. The local high school is Tahanto Regional High School.
