About Southborough, MA
Southborough is a quiet, pastoral community whose character was shaped by the development of Sudbury Reservoir, which flooded a tenth of the town’s original area. Located in Worcester County, just 25 miles west of Boston, Southborough has easy access to many main roads, such as the Mass Pike (I-90), Interstate 495, and Route 9. It is primarily a residential community. The town also has a stop along the MBTA commuter rail between Worcester and Boston. Light industrial land use is concentrated along main roads, primarily Massachusetts Route 9. Southborough is often ranked on the Best Places to Live lists, and the town consistently ranks #1 as the wealthiest community in Worcester County. The public high school is Algonquin Regional High School, and private schools in town include Fay School and St Mark’s School.
