About Lunenburg, MA
Lunenburg is located in north central Massachusetts, approximately 43 miles from Boston. Routes 2A and 13 give residents easy access to surrounding areas. It is primarily a residential community governed by the open town meeting form of government. It is administered by a board of five Selectmen and a Town Manager. Lunenburg High School is a well-respected educational institution in the region. Lunenburg was home to the famous amusement park Whalom Park, which closed in 2000.
