About Maynard, MA
The town of Maynard, located in Middlesex County, is located 20 miles west of Boston, in the Metrowest region of Massachusetts. The town has Routes 27, 62, & 117 running through its borders, which give residents easy access to surrounding communities. Maynard was the site of the Assabet Woolen Mill, which produced wool fabrics near the Assabet River for over 100 years, from 1846 to 1950, under various owners. The mill complex was later the headquarters for Digital Equipment Corporation for many years and currently operates as Clock Tower Place, renting space to office and light industry businesses. Maynard is primarily a residential community and continues to promote economic development and its business community. The public high school is Maynard High School.
