About Stow, MA
Stow is a small rural community of rolling hills and rustic country lanes. It’s located in Middlesex County, about 25 miles west of Boston and 28 miles east of Worcester. Previous to its incorporation in 1683, Stow was called Pompositticut Plantation, a name that is still very much in evidence. While working to preserve the town’s historical past and character, the town encourages residential growth to protect current and future residents. The community boasts a well-respected school district, and the public high school is Nashoba Regional High School, shared with Bolton and Lancaster.
