MA RMV: Online Renewals for Standard Driver’s Licenses & ID Cards in 2020

The MA RMV has notified customers with licenses and ID cards expiring in March, April, and May that their credentials are extended until September 2020. The letter explains renewal options: renew online now for a Standard License/ID or wait until September for an in-person REAL ID renewal.

New Commercial Driver’s License and Learner’s Permit Standards Effective July 2016

MA RMV Restores Renewal Reminders by Mail

The RMV has resumed its birthday postcard reminder service, notifying drivers if they can renew online or must visit a branch. Supported by advertising, this service helps Massachusetts’ 4.75 million licensed drivers stay updated, with 87,000–92,000 postcards sent monthly.
